Glaze drew inspiration from real teenage twin mediums and gives the sisters different public roles, including performance, poetry, and political speech. The Second Death of Edie and Violet Bond therefore uses its ghost story to examine who is believed, who may speak openly, and how sisters protect one another when institutions offer little safety.
