Subpar Parks grew from her illustrated series pairing national park scenery with genuine one-star reviews. Plume published the book with the full subtitle America's Most Extraordinary National Parks and Their Least Impressed Visitors. Its pages add park information, ranger anecdotes, practical tips, and Share's own connections to places including Yellowstone, Yosemite, Acadia, and the Grand Canyon. She created both the writing and the artwork, turning the contrast between majestic landscapes and disappointed comments into a humorous form of nature appreciation. Share later extended the idea beyond the United States in Subpar Planet. Her work remains rooted in travel and outdoor recreation, but its distinctive perspective comes from treating criticism as an invitation to look more carefully at what makes each landscape remarkable.
