Author: Andy Crouch
Andy Crouch spent over ten years at Christianity Today, the last four of them as executive editor, and works now as partner for theology and culture at Praxis and as a teaching fellow with Practicing the Way. The Tech-Wise Family, from Baker Books in 2017, rests on original Barna Group research into the place devices hold in the lives of teenagers and families. Around that evidence Crouch sets ten commitments his own household adopted, among them keeping car journeys for conversation and putting screens away for one hour a day, one day a week and one week a year, with a frank account of how unevenly the family kept to them. He studied classics at Cornell and took an MDiv from Boston University School of Theology. His other titles include Culture Making, Playing God and The Life We're Looking For, and he wrote My Tech-Wise Life with his daughter Amy. A classically trained musician, he has led worship for gatherings of five people and of twenty thousand.
