Anne Digby

Anne Digby is a British children's writer best known for the Trebizon school stories and the Me, Jill Robinson series. The Hockey Term at Trebizon, published by Dragon in 1984, is the ninth Trebizon novel. Rebecca Mason and her friends prepare for a hockey sevens tournament while sport, rivalry, and changing friendships shape the school term. New pupil Fiona and tennis player Joss Vining add tensions around belonging and confidence, but the available bibliographic record does not establish every episode in detail. This balanced mixture reflects Digby's broader Trebizon method, in which school life and competitive sport share space with mysteries. Paul Wright is credited as a contributor to the 1984 edition. The Hockey Term at Trebizon belongs firmly within Digby's long-running portrait of girls testing loyalties, developing skills, and finding their places at a fictional Cornish boarding school.
