Arsène Wenger

My Life in Red and White appeared in French in 2020 as Ma vie en rouge et blanc, published by JC Lattès, and in English the same year in a translation by Daniel Hahn and Andrea Reece. Its author managed Arsenal for twenty-two years, from 1996 to 2018, winning three league titles and seven FA Cups and taking the side through the 2003-04 season unbeaten in the league. Wenger, born in Strasbourg in 1949 and raised in the Alsatian village of Duttlenheim, holds an economics degree from the university there, played to a modest standard, and coached at Nancy, Monaco and Nagoya Grampus Eight before London. He has directed global football development at FIFA since 2019.
