Barbara Stanny

Stanny is a daughter of one of the founders of the tax preparation firm H and R Block, inherited money, and lost much of it when her husband gambled on commodities and left her holding the tax bill. She had never looked at a financial statement. Secrets of Six-Figure Women came out of interviewing women who earned well and asking what they did differently, and the answer she reports is mostly about a willingness to ask rather than about skill. She writes under the name Barbara Huson now.
