Belinda Boring
Belinda Boring develops the Mystic Wolves series through the bond between Darcy and pack leader Mason. Cherished is an early novella in which the pair confront grief and guilt after the crisis that opened the sequence, allowing their promised partnership to deepen through conversation and shared memory. That novella was later incorporated with Without Mercy and Blood Oath into the full-length novel The Mystic Wolves. Testing Fate is the third numbered novel and places Darcy before the Fates, who challenge whether she and Mason are truly matched. Separated from her pack, she must face a sequence of trials with Devlin as her companion. Cherished first appeared in 2011, while Blushing Heart Press published Testing Fate in 2013. Boring uses werewolf hierarchy, magical councils, and supernatural tests to make relationship commitments visible as public obligations. The two works occupy different scales, one intimate and one expansive, but both ask what Darcy and Mason are prepared to endure before their bond can become a secure future rather than an inherited assumption.
