C.J. Carella writes science fiction, fantasy, and role-playing games. Godkiller Mode opens the Godkiller Chronicles, sending college student Caitlin Sera into a game-like fantasy world where a powerful core changes her abilities. The novel uses LitRPG conventions, character progression, and system mechanics within a high-fantasy quest. Before concentrating on novels, Carella wrote more than twenty tabletop role-playing books for Palladium Books, Steve Jackson Games, and Eden Studios. His later fiction includes Warp Marine Corps and Eternal Journey.
