Caitriona Lally
Caitriona Lally approaches Dublin through wordplay, wandering, and close attention to overlooked places. Her debut novel Eggshells follows Vivian Lawlor as she maps routes through the city, searches for a friend named Penelope, and develops private theories about language and hidden worlds. Melville House published the United States edition. Lally received the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature for Eggshells, a comic and lyrical novel shaped by Vivian's singular perspective. She later published Wunderland, continuing her interest in place and unconventional ways of seeing.
