Carl W Ackerman

Carl W Ackerman reported internationally as an American correspondent, biographer, and journalism educator across Europe, Mexico, and Russia. Germany is the shortened catalogue form of Germany, the Next Republic?, his 1917 account of German politics and public life during the 1914-1918 conflict. Ackerman had reported from Germany for United Press and drew on encounters with officials, soldiers, and civilians while examining the pressures surrounding the imperial government.
