Cicely Hamilton

Cicely Hamilton (1872-1952) was an English writer, actress, and suffragist. She campaigned for women's rights and produced plays, novels, and essays, including the feminist study Marriage as a Trade. Her relief work in wartime France shaped the disillusionment that runs through much of her later fiction.
