Dave Shelton

Dave Shelton is a British author, illustrator, and cartoonist who moves easily between prose and comics for younger readers. He wrote and illustrated The Book Case, a school mystery featuring Emily Lime and her new library assistant, Daphne. Scholastic credits him in both roles. Shelton also created the comic strip Good Dog, Bad Dog for The Guardian and The DFC. His earlier A Boy and a Bear in a Boat won the Branford Boase Award, reflecting the dry humor and visual timing that continue to distinguish his work.
