Debra Doyle wrote science fiction, fantasy, mystery, and fiction for children, frequently in collaboration with James D. Macdonald. Beneath Ceaseless Skies Issue 120, dated 2 May 2013, includes their story “The Clockwork Trollop” alongside Laura E. Price’s “The Drowned Man.” Doyle and Macdonald’s contribution uses a Victorian-inflected setting, mechanical invention, and speculative intrigue, and the magazine also released it as an audio-fiction episode.
