Don Malarkey

Easy Company Soldier, written with Bob Welch, is Malarkey's own account of the unit Band of Brothers made famous. He jumped into Normandy, fought at Brécourt Manor, Market Garden and Bastogne, and served more consecutive days in combat than anyone else in the company. The book is mostly about what came home with him and stayed for decades, and about a friend killed at Brécourt whom he never stopped returning to. He sold real estate in Oregon afterwards and died in 2017 at ninety-six.
