Eddie Moore Jr.
Eddie Moore Jr. is an educator, speaker, and founder of the White Privilege Conference and The Privilege Institute. He co-edited The Guide for White Women Who Teach Black Boys with Ali Michael and Marguerite W. Penick-Parks. Corwin released the professional resource in 2017 for educators working to improve Black boys' experience and outcomes in school. Its research, activities, personal accounts, and interviews focus on belonging, school culture, unconscious bias, and authentic teacher-student relationships. Moore brings experience in educational leadership, diversity training, and conference building to the collaboration. He holds a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Iowa and has also co-edited books on racial and social justice and educational equity. The Guide for White Women Who Teach Black Boys places that work in a classroom-centered format, asking educators to connect reflection on race and privilege with specific changes in practice.
