Etienne .

Etienne . writes gay fiction that joins relationship stories with mysteries, family decisions, and recurring communities. Break and Enter and Drag and Drop belong to the Avondale Stories, a sequence centered on interconnected characters in and around Jacksonville, Florida. Drag and Drop follows the continuing partnership of police captain George Martin and Mike Foster, while Break and Enter places them amid burglaries targeting older gay men and the uncertain future of a child they encounter during a mountain holiday. Both books were associated with Dreamspinner Press before Etienne later issued editions under his own name. His wider bibliography includes Bodies of Work, Birds of a Feather, and further Avondale novels, along with the Forever and Ivory Solution sequences. The recurring cast allows professional cases and domestic commitments to develop together across volumes. Etienne’s books therefore use crime plots not as isolated puzzles, but as tests of trust, caregiving, and the durable households his characters try to build.
