Fiona Munro

Twenty years of editing children's books at Ladybird and Hachette sit behind Fiona Munro's own writing for the very young. She has produced rhymes, stories, non-fiction and sticker books across the age range, but her steadiest line of work is board books for the preschool shelf. Every One Is Special, published by DK and illustrated by Laura Hambleton, a former art director at Wren & Rook, is a short interactive series built on one idea: difference is ordinary. Shape, size, age, hairstyle, all of it varies, and the books say so cheerfully. Companion volumes cover dogs, cats, babies and dads.
