Georgia Beers
Dance with Me took the Lambda Literary Award for lesbian romance in June 2024, a second Lammy for Georgia Beers after Fresh Tracks. Bold Strokes Books published it in 2023: Scottie Templeton and Marisa Reyes are thrown together as partners at a ballroom studio and resent the arrangement for as long as the plot allows. Beers has lived in Rochester, New York, her whole life, published a first novel, Turning the Page, in 2001, and has kept a steady output since, collecting thirteen Goldie awards from the Golden Crown Literary Society, two of them Ann Bannon Popular Choice wins. She volunteers each year at ImageOut, Rochester's LGBTQ film festival.
