Gilly Macmillan

The Nanny turns on a woman who returns to her mother's house with a daughter of her own, finds human remains in the lake, and then watches the nanny who vanished thirty years earlier walk back through the door. Macmillan worked in an art gallery and taught photography before writing, and her novels are usually about a family closing ranks around something. She lives in Bristol and wrote the first one while her children were small.
