Gregg Hurwitz

Hurwitz took a degree in English at Harvard and a master's in Shakespearean tragedy at Oxford, which is an unusual route into thrillers about a man raised as a government asset. Buy a Bullet is a short piece attached to the Orphan X sequence, in which Evan Smoak, trained from childhood inside a deniable programme and now working off the books for people with nowhere else to go, takes a job that is smaller and nastier than it first looks. Hurwitz has written Batman and Punisher runs as well, and works as a consultant on political communication, which he has been open about.
