Guy Browning

Guy Browning is an English humourist, writer, speaker, and film director whose comedy often begins with the minor puzzles of ordinary life. Never Hit a Jellyfish With a Spade gathers mock-practical guidance for situations ranging from swimming technique to queue etiquette, treating trivial inconveniences with deliberately solemn logic. Atlantic Books publishes the collection, which grew from Browning's humorous newspaper writing. His related books include Never Push When It Says Pull, while his radio work includes the BBC Radio 4 sitcom Weak at the Top. He later directed Tortoise in Love and wrote the list-form novel My Life in Lists, carrying the same observational wit into film and fiction.
