Herbert Wrigley Wilson was a British journalist and naval historian whose published work extended beyond maritime subjects. Convicted out of her own mouth appeared in 1917 with the expanded title Convicted Out of Her Own Mouth: The Record of German Crimes. A New York edition was issued by George H. Doran Company that year for Hodder & Stoughton. Wilson worked as chief leader writer and assistant editor at the Daily Mail, and from 1914 to 1919 he co-edited the multi-volume periodical The Great War with John Alexander Hammerton.
