Isis Rushdan

Isis Rushdan writes paranormal fiction shaped by mythology, duty, loyalty, and characters caught between personal desire and communal survival. Raised in New York, she studied psychology at Ohio State University before joining the Army and later serving as an Air Force intelligence officer. Travel through Central America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe broadened the settings and cultural influences available to her fiction. Kindred of the Fallen, published by Samhain in 2013, opens the two book Kindred Chronicles. The novel introduces a hidden supernatural people linked by shared history and unusual powers, placing questions of identity and responsibility inside a rapidly moving fantasy conflict. Protector of the Flame continues the sequence and expands its invented society beyond the New York setting of the first volume.
