Jory Strong writes paranormal romance, much of it first published by Ellora's Cave. The Angelini sequence opened with Skye's Trail in 2005, went on with Syndelle's Possession in 2006 and reached Mystic's Run in 2008. Carnival Tarot is a separate set, each book hung on a card turned up in a fortune teller's tent at a travelling carnival. Kiziah's Reading, the second of those, appeared in 2006: a dream sends Kiziah to the carnival, the card that comes up is The Lovers, and what she finds there is a world of vampires and the people who serve them. Strong has said she has been writing since she was a child and has never stopped daydreaming. She lives in California with her husband and a houseful of animals, and spends her time away from the desk reading, riding horses and walking dogs.
