J. Keller Ford
J. Keller Ford writes teen fantasy shaped by travel, castles, prophecy, and the difficult choices facing young heroes. A former paralegal who grew up in an Army family, she spent part of her childhood in Germany, where historic fortresses helped nourish her interest in imagined kingdoms. In the Shadow of the Dragon King opens the Chronicles of Fallhollow. Month9Books issued it in 2016. The novel brings sixteen-year-old David Heiland into Fallhollow as a prophesied paladin, while the squire Eric Hamden searches for the figure expected to defend the realm. Their competing expectations drive an adventure involving a dragon, a guarded key, and a kingdom under threat. Ford continued the sequence with Rage of the Dragon King and Dawn of the Dragon Queen. In the Shadow of the Dragon King therefore establishes both the series setting and the uneasy partnership that anchors its larger conflict, combining a portal-fantasy premise with friendship, responsibility, and courage.
