James Philip
James Philip is a British author of alternate-history fiction whose novels build long, connected timelines from changed political events. Travels Through The Wind, Remember Brave Achilles, and George Washington’s Ghost are the third, fourth, and fifth books in his New England series. The sequence imagines a twentieth century in which the American Revolution failed and New England remained within the British Empire. Its narrative moves between imperial government, journalism, diplomacy, naval affairs, and the personal consequences of a widening international crisis. Philip's official series page also identifies Andrew Calverley as the audio narrator for Travels through the Wind and Remember Brave Achilles. Across the series, recurring characters and institutions allow each volume to advance both the immediate story and the larger counterfactual world.
