Jeff Wheeler

Wheeler spent years at Intel, writing fiction before dawn, and left once the books could pay for themselves. The Muirwood sequence and its sequels follow an abbey-raised girl and the generations after her through a world where magic runs on discipline and cost. He founded Deep Magic, a magazine for fantasy and science fiction without explicit content, and publishes almost entirely through Amazon's imprints rather than traditional houses. The pre-dawn schedule lasted about a decade by his own account.
