The Office BFFs (2022) belongs to two authors. Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey met in their first days of filming NBC's The Office, stayed close for the nine seasons that followed, and wrote the book in alternating voices around photographs from their own boxes. Fischer was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1974 and raised in St Louis, took a theatre degree at Truman State University, and worked through years of small parts before being cast as the receptionist Pam Beesly, whom she played from 2005 to 2013; she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 2007 and produced during the final season. That long apprenticeship produced The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide (2017), a practical account of auditions, agents and money. Since 2019 she and Kinsey have recorded Office Ladies, an episode-by-episode rewatch podcast. In late 2024 Fischer said she had finished treatment for breast cancer.
