Kill the Queen (2018) drops a minor royal of Bellona into a troupe of gladiators and opens the Crown of Shards trilogy, continued in Protect the Prince (2019) and Crush the King (2020). Capture the Crown (2021) starts the Gargoyle Queen books in the same world, with the Andvarian princess Gemma Ripley working undercover as a spy, and Only Bad Options (2022) took Jennifer Estep into space opera as the first Galactic Bonds novel. She worked more than a decade at a daily newspaper as a features writer, copyeditor and page designer. Her longest-running series, Elemental Assassin, began with Spider's Bite in 2010.
