Jennifer Moore covers two readerships under two names. The funny children's books appear as Jenny Moore, published by Maverick Arts, New Frontier and Lerner among others; the psychological thrillers for adults carry the fuller name and come from HQ Digital at HarperCollins. She works from Devon, and won the Commonwealth Short Story Competition, the first UK writer to do so; her shorter fiction and poetry have appeared in the Guardian, Mslexia, The First Line and Short Fiction. The Woman Before, out in July 2022, was her first adult novel. The Wilderness Retreat is the second. Bella has just dropped her son at university when she is given a week at a luxurious lodge in a Swedish forest; unsettling notes start arriving, another guest vanishes, and a figure from her own past appears.
