John Dos Passos

John Dos Passos (1896-1970) was an American novelist and one of the leading experimental writers of his generation. Drawing on his time as a wartime ambulance driver and journalist, he pioneered collage-like fiction, most famously in the U.S.A. trilogy that combined narrative, biography, and newsreel.
