Jonny Sun invented an alien narrator for a Twitter account while in graduate school, then turned it into the illustrated book everyone's a aliebn when ur a aliebn too in 2017. He drew the pictures for Lin-Manuel Miranda's Gmorning, Gnight! and joined the writing staff for the sixth season of BoJack Horseman. Trained as an engineer in Toronto, with a Yale master's in architecture, he has pursued doctoral research at MIT on social media and online community, alongside spells at Harvard's metaLAB and its Berkman Klein Center. Goodbye, Again, which Harper Perennial brought out in April 2021, gathers short essays, poems and line drawings on loneliness and worry, taking in houseplants, scrambled eggs, jazz and the end of the world.
