The Gryphon Insurrection runs to eight novels and a story collection, all from Stet Publishing, all set in a world called Eyrie that is populated by gryphons, opinici and other beasts with no human characters anywhere in it. K. Vale Nagle wrote every volume. The Ruins of Crestfall (2020) is the fifth, taking the series into desert country and its sand gryphons; The Crackling Sea is the sixth and Opinicus the seventh. Blue Eyes and Other Tales, slotted between the third and fourth books, follows gryphons of the frozen taiga through their hardest hours. Nagle co-edited the anthology Tales of Feathers and Flames with John Bailey and contributed the novel Coldbright to it, though that collection belongs to Bailey's Dire setting rather than Eyrie. Nagle is a member of the Furry Writers' Guild.
