Kat Ellis

Harrow Lake sends the daughter of a famous horror director to the town where his film was shot, which has a legend of its own and reasons for wanting to keep her. Wicked Little Deeds is set in a Welsh village that produces a body in the river every generation. Ellis is Welsh, builds each book on a place with a story already attached to it, and writes horror for teenagers that declines to resolve into a reassuring explanation at the end.
