Before fiction, Kimberly Belle raised money for other people: marketing and fundraising posts at Habitat for Humanity, the YWCA, the Annie E. Casey Foundation and United Way. Born in 1968 and brought up in Kingsport, Tennessee, she took a BA at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, then settled in the Netherlands for more than a decade. Her debut, The Last Breath, arrived in 2014. The Marriage Lie came late in 2016 from MIRA and did far more: a wife learns her husband's plane has gone down on a route he had no business flying, and the questions start there. It reached the USA Today and Wall Street Journal lists and was a 2017 Goodreads Choice Awards semifinalist for mystery and thriller. Dear Wife, Stranger in the Lake and The Paris Widow followed. Belle now splits her year between Atlanta and Amsterdam.
