Laura Galloway is a writer and communications strategist whose memoir joins personal upheaval with close observation of Arctic life. Dálvi recounts the six years she spent near Kautokeino in northern Norway, living within a Sámi reindeer-herding community after leaving New York. Atlantic Books issued the English edition as Dálvi: Six Years in the Arctic Tundra. Her professional background includes journalism and international communications, and she later completed a master's degree in Indigenous journalism at Sámi University of Applied Sciences.
