Mollie Rushmeyer

Mollie Rushmeyer writes contemporary inspirational fiction that threads historical objects and family stories through present-day romance. The Bookshop of Secrets, her 2022 debut for Love Inspired Trade, follows Hope Sparrow into a neglected shop where missing books may explain her family's past. Harlequin classifies the novel across small-town fiction, family life, women's fiction, and wholesome romance, a blend that reflects Rushmeyer's interest in history as something discovered through people and keepsakes. Her later novels include The Lost Manuscript and the Bethany House romantic comedy The Rules of Falling for You. Rushmeyer's own account of her work emphasizes bookish settings, mystery, humor, and emotionally restorative relationships. That combination gives the debut its distinctive shape: an investigation built from old volumes, but grounded in the question of whether Hope can make a lasting home among new friends.
