Nino Strachey is a British historian and writer specializing in the people, houses, and creative networks associated with Bloomsbury. Young Bloomsbury, published in the United Kingdom by John Murray in 2022, follows the generation that gathered around the original Bloomsbury Group during the 1920s. Strachey draws together artists, writers, performers, and patrons whose friendships and experiments challenged inherited expectations about art, relationships, and self-expression. The book gives particular attention to figures who have often appeared only at the edges of better-known Bloomsbury histories. Her experience directing research for the National Trust and her fellowship of the Royal Historical Society support an approach attentive to archives, places, and material culture. An American edition appeared from Atria Books in December 2022. Young Bloomsbury is therefore both a group biography and a study of how creative communities form across households, studios, stages, and publishing circles, extending the familiar Bloomsbury story into a younger and more varied generation.
