Stacey Jay
Stacey Jay writes fantasy, paranormal fiction, and retellings for teen and older audiences. Dead on the Delta opens her two-book Annabelle Lee urban-fantasy series. Published by Pocket in 2011, the novel imagines a Louisiana Delta transformed by dangerous fairies and the agencies created to contain them. Annabelle works for Fairy Containment and Control, but her unusual immunity draws her into a case involving supernatural threats, local power, and secrets about her own abilities. Blood on the Bayou continues the sequence in 2012, confirming Dead on the Delta as the foundation for its world and recurring conflicts. Jay has also written the Megan Berry books and reworked familiar romantic tragedies in Juliet Immortal and Romeo Redeemed. Dead on the Delta shows her darker, comic approach to paranormal mystery through a flawed investigator whose work places folklore inside bureaucracy, environmental danger, and the complicated loyalties of a tightly connected community.
