Thomas Day

1748–1789

Thomas Day (1748-1789) was an English writer, lawyer and abolitionist. His book "The History of Sandford and Merton" (1783-1789) set out Rousseauvian educational ideals. He also wrote against slavery, and campaigned on the question of American independence.
