Todd Zuniga works across American fiction, editing, literary events, games, and screen storytelling, and publishes fiction under the fuller name Adrian Todd Zuniga. Collision Theory, his debut novel, follows a grieving young man through a turbulent Los Angeles day shaped by memory, friendship, and a damaging search for connection. Counterpoint released Collision Theory in 2018. Zuniga founded the literary journal Opium Magazine and co-created Literary Death Match, a reading series that combines performance, judging, and live competition and has travelled to cities across several continents. His work also extends into games and screen storytelling: he co-wrote Longshot, the narrative mode introduced in Madden NFL 18, which received a Writers Guild of America Award nomination. These projects share an interest in how formal constraints can intensify character and voice. Collision Theory brings that sensibility to the novel, compressing emotional history into a fast-moving structure while keeping its attention on bereavement, masculine friendship, and the uncertain boundary between rescue and self-destruction.
