An Easy Introduction to Spanish Conversation is by Mariano Velázquez de la Cadena. The title page describes the book as containing all that is necessary to make a rapid progress, particularly designed for persons who have little time to study, or are their own instructors.
The preface says that Multum in parvo is the object of this small book, in which the student will find all the elements necessary to enable him in a very short time to enter into a conversation on the most usual topics. Word lists give short verbs with equivalents, for example to breakfast, almorzar, to swallow, tragar and to dine, comer. Tables set out a first, second and third conjugation in the indicative mood, with present forms such as I arm, I offend and I unite. Another list names birds, including a goldfinch, a blackbird and a nightingale, each with a translation.
