Angelic Wisdom Concerning the Divine Love and the Divine Wisdom is a work by Emanuel Swedenborg. A translator's note says the previous translation of this work has been carefully revised. Under the heading PART FIRST, LOVE IS THE LIFE OF MAN, the text says man knows that there is such a thing as love, but does not know what love is.
A section headed THERE IS ONE GOD-MAN, FROM WHOM ALL THINGS COME says that all things of human wisdom unite, and as it were center in this, that there is one God, the Creator of the universe. The text says that in man there are many and numberless things, yet man feels them all as one. Merely natural man, the text says, can speak and preach about heavenly things, and even simulate them in his actions, though inwardly he thinks against them.
