Bonds of Brass

The first book of Emily Skrutskie’s Bloodright Trilogy is titled “Bonds of Brass.” The main character of the story is Ettian Nassun, a young pilot whose life was destroyed by the ruthless Umber Empire’s invasion. After reestablishing his life under its control for seven years, he enrolled in a Umber military academy and rose to the top of his class as a pilot.

When he learns that Gal, his best friend whom he may perhaps fall in love with, is the cruel heir to the galactic empire, his life takes a drastic shift. Ettian finds himself divided between supporting the man who has captured his heart and joining the growing uprising to oppose Umber’s authority.
