About this book
Buddy and Brighteyes Pigg: Bed Time Stories is by Howard Roger Garis. The contents list story titles including Buddy Pigg in a Cabbage, Brighteyes and Mrs. Hoptoad, Buddy Pigg Plays Ball and Buddy and the Burglar Fox. In one story a cabbage bounds in front of the pen, hits a big stone and bursts open, and out rolls Buddy Pigg, over and over, just like a pumpkin.
Buddy's father looks him over carefully and finds nothing the matter with him except a tiny scratch on his nose. A bug grabs a mosquito that was going to bite the little guinea pig boy and throws it out of the window. Buddy makes a loop in one end of a rope, just like the cowboys do when they lasso a wild steer, or a horse, and tosses it over Sammie's head.
