About this book
A Collection of Beatrix Potter Stories lists included tales about Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, and Mr. Jeremy Fisher. Peter runs home to the big fir-tree without stopping or looking behind him, and flops down on the soft sand of the rabbit-hole floor.
Ginger and Pickles keep the shop: Ginger is a yellow tom-cat, and Pickles is a terrier. The small shop sells nearly everything, although the account excepts things wanted in a hurry, such as bootlaces, hair-pins, and mutton chops. The rabbits are always a little afraid of Pickles, while the mice who patronize the shop are rather afraid of Ginger.
