About this book
The title presents Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress in words of one syllable, and the contents list the journey's named places and encounters. Christian and Pliable walk and talk together on a plain, with Christian expressing gladness that Pliable has been led to accompany him. A reply promises a realm without death, weeping or grief, where the owner of the place will wipe away all tears.
The dream narrator describes two walkers falling into a deep slough in the plain because they do not heed it. A group of the King's men greets Christian and his friend warmly with shouts and the sound of trumpets.
