Chantilly in History and Art is presented with portraits and illustrations. The plate list names The Story of Esther under the School of Sandro Botticelli and identifies the Musée Condé as its collection. The plate list names the Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry with a Plan of Rome attributed to Pol de Limbourg and his Brothers.
The account says work by Pol de Limbourg and his brothers was suspended amid disturbances and was not resumed until 1454, long after their death. The account attributes the resumed work to Jean de Colombe and judges his hand far inferior. The volume is said to have come into the possession of Charles of Savoy and his wife Blanche of Monferrat.
