About this book
Cold Ghost by Chester S. Geier carries the line that all Hager had to do was slow the dogsled to a walk, and his partner died. Hager packs the catch of furs, harnesses up the sled, and starts out with Cahill for the doctor in Moose Gulch.
Cahill tells Matt that he is trying to kill him and is not going straight toward Moose Gulch. Cahill also says it is the furs, and that Matt wants all the money for himself. Hager feels warm again, a wild delight fills him, and he tells Pancho he is throwing a fiesta for the entire town that evening.
