From the Lakes of Killarney to the Golden Horn is an 1877 travel book by Henry Martyn Field (1822-1907), the American Presbyterian minister who edited the New York Evangelist and wrote a long shelf of popular travel volumes. The journey runs from Ireland through Britain and the Continent to Constantinople, reported with the genial curiosity that made Field's travels fireside favourites. His brother Cyrus laid the Atlantic cable, and the family energy shows in the itinerary.
